DIY {valentine's yarn heart}

The upcoming Valentine's holiday has got me in a pretty crafty mood lately. I can't seem to stop thinking of fun ideas for things to make for the ever popular hearts and love holiday. As much as plain hearts can get boring after awhile they still get me every time. This idea came from a local store who always puts out the cutest window displays for each season. I drove by and saw yarn wrapped wood hearts and I put my own spin on it by making it out of a coat hanger. I simply bent the coat hanger to my desired shape, wrapped the coat hanger wire with yarn (which is the only way I figured the other yarn would stay in place because it kept slipping off the smooth surface of the metal hanger) Then I took my pink yarn and wrapped sporadically all over the heart. I figured the best place to hang it would be on our front door to welcome love for this month.

I can't wait to make a few more of these smaller in size and with brighter colors! Happy crafting friends!

twice as nice chocolate brownies

Whenever we rally up our friends and have a dinner party or get together, it wouldn't be the same without me baking up some yummy treats. This weekend I decided to try my hand at brownies from scratch. Yep no box needed just lots of chocolate. I might even be bold enough to say that they were easier than the box versions. Try it for yourself!

Ingredients:

2 cups chocolate chips, divided

1/2 cup butter cut into pieces

3 large eggs

1 1/4 cup all- purpose flour

1 cup sugar

1 tsp vanilla

1/4 tsp baking soda

1/2 cup chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease baking pan. Melt 1 cup of chocolate chips and butter in a large saucepan over low heat. Stir until smooth. Remove from heat and add eggs, flour, sugar, vanilla and baking soda. Stir in remaining chocolate chips and nuts. Spread into baking pan. Bake 18-22 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.

Happy Friday friends! I am thankful this weekend to not have a huge to do list for the first time in awhile. I am looking forward to working a bit, hopefully getting outside to take advantage of the beautiful weather and to catch up on some much needed sleep. I must say since the beginning of this year, I have been going non-stop and I can't much complain because only good things have come of it. However, I am definitely thinking of adopting this great idea to ease my mind. Here's to a low key, low stress weekend.

DIY {metallic makeup pouch}

Lately, I've been referred to as 'Mr. T' and/or 'Goldfinger' because of my recent obsession with all things gold. I don't know if it's the shiny factor or the idea that when wearing a lot of gold, you could be considered unstoppable, right? Nonetheless, I can't get enough. So naturally there was no way I was going to pass up these metallic makeup pouches at the craft store the other day. I gladly scooped up a few of each color (black, bronze and gold) and went home with endless ideas of patterns that I wanted to decorate them with. Here are a few that I painted up yesterday, despite my high from the insane paint fumes.

french toast in a cup

I think it's safe to say that anytime you are constantly busy and have a million things to do, a sickness gets you. I've been hit with the weirdest sore throat ever, so basically I've been laying low and browsing the web to keep myself from going insanely bored. On a pinning spree the other night, I came across this brilliant idea and thought it sounded more than magnificent for my ailing throat. 2 minute french toast, BAM!

Basically all you need is 2 pieces of bread, or enough to fill your cup of choice, cube the bread, but a pad of butter at the bottom of the cup, fill with bread. In a separate bowl, mix one egg, 3 tablespoons milk and cinnamon, mix well and add over bread mixture. Let it sit there and soak into the bread for a minute. Next, into the microwave for a minute and add increments of 10 seconds after that until it's cooked to your liking. Add syrup and you have quickie french toast!

DIY {mini tassel garland}

Call me crazy but, I'm guessing that you've seen a few of these around the world wide web lately and I'll bet that you love them as much as I do. Honestly, who wouldn't? For the last couple months, I've been wanting to make my own tassel garland but haven't found the right materials (you know I want some gold in there!) So I decided to try a mini version in valentine's colors instead and get some practice in for the real thing. I grabbed tissue paper in the colors I wanted, bright pink, red and light pink and scissors. Although I think crepe paper would work a tab bit nicer. She thinks so too!

I think this tiny decor would spice up any little present you'd like to give someone for the upcoming love holiday, even a cute little succulent. Happy crafting friends!

Happy Friday friends! After a long week full of projects, I am definitely ready for some rest. Something the boyfriend and I have started to do together for the past couple years is plan random trips to our favorite bustling city, good old San Francisco. I can't wait to relax and bit and wander the streets, making our own adventures and finding new great places to eat (definitely our favorite activity up there) So here's to a fun weekend that hopefully isn't in too much disarray from the impending rain.

As you may have noticed lately, I am on a major gold kick. The shiny color has become something that I almost always gravitate towards and it's starting to pop up all over my house and wardrobe on a regular basis (and I love it!). I came across this fabulous idea from my favorite idea site and couldn't wait to try it this week. I definitely need to head back over to the store and get a few more of these because I feel like they look better in clusters. But for $1.00-$1.50 you can't beat a fun shiny candle.

This weekend we are making our annual trip up to our favorite city, San Francisco. It's kind of become a tradition between the man friend and I that we make a trip up there every year to enjoy all that the city offers. We love to try new restaurants, relax with a drink, explore new shops, and wander the city finding new areas we've never found. There is honestly so much to do in that city that I can hardly wait for the weekend. That being said, one of the main things we do is eat and drink, therefore my goal this week is to eat a little bit healthier so I have some room to indulge in whatever I'd like on vacation. After all, isn't that what vacation's about? A few weeks ago I came across this idea for a new way to make pizza from Lauren Conrad actually and I can't wait to try it this week. A cauliflower crust pizza that's low in carbs but still as tasty as real dough. You know you want to try it too!

DIY {painted stripe rug}

I would say our kitchen is the room in our apartment that gets the most traffic, so naturally there is always someone in there doing something, hanging out or just laying around (the cat's favorite thing) So I decided to add a bit more flare to our very black and white kitchen by picking up a plain yellow ochre rug and putting a fun spin on it. I shared my rug inspirations earlier this week and I'm very pleased with how it turned out. A very simple project that I think will add a cute touch to our favorite room in the house.

One element that I wish I had more of at my house was bold statement rugs. Being that my apartment is entirely hardwood floors, you would think that I have many on hand and in fact there are only 3 rugs currently. I would like to up that rug total to possibly 5 or 6 in the coming months and I am just gathering my rug inspiration for when that time comes. Plus why wouldn't you want to make your feet happy?

Monday's haven't looked this good in a long time with the moon so bright and huge this morning. I could only imagine that walking around foggy London town would be the right dose of weather for me right now (it hasn't been much of a winter here). Last night the man friend and I went to see the new Sherlock Holmes. Every time I see a movie set in a fun European city, all I want to do is go there instantly. Not to mention, I would be a happy girl if I was running around the city solving mysteries with Mr. Holmes himself. Happy Monday friends!

Happy Friday folks! I hope you all welcomed the new year with open arms just as I did. I love the chance to start fresh and set new goals for myself and this week was exactly about that. This year my man friend and I decided we are going to get outdoors more often and enjoy where we live. Plus I got him an awesome REI membership so we don't have an excuse. One theme that seemed to be apparent this holiday season was coffee/tea gifts and I couldn't be happier. We finally got a coffee maker that didn't make a bigger mess than you did when pouring coffee and we added fun newcomers to our mug collection, this chalkboard mug being one of them. I've been a fan of this chalkboard trend that has started but haven't participated much in it yet and I'm not sure why. It was so much fun to decide what I wanted to draw on my new blank coffee mug. I contemplated a bit and once I decided on my design, I made a stencil. I opted not for a saying but for a simple herringbone heart. A combo of two things I have been into lately and I love it!

Now that the uber stressful holiday season is over, I am madly focusing on adding to my etsy shop. I have been doodling up a storm with fun hand drawn designs and new ideas for sweet petite paper goods. My main inspiration for new designs is simplistic and chic. Leftovers are abundant over the holidays and although I can't complain about them, there comes a time that you do need to find ways to use those babies. Well I did exactly that. This white chocolate peppermint popcorn seems to do the trick for leftover candy canes and I can't be more excited to try it. I don't know about you, but anything with mint and I'm in!

oh nutmeg

Even though the holidays are over, I still have a large box of cookies left over that I can't seem to part with. Holiday cookies are one of my favorite things and I suppose it's something that I like to savor a little after the holiday madness is over. One of the more fun cookies to make is what my family calls nutmeg logs. It's kind of like playing with play dough, you get to roll the dough out into long strips and cut them into little logs. You then frost them with powdered sugar frosting and scrap it to look like wood. Check it out for yourself.

nutmeg logs

sift 3 cups flour and 1 tsp nutmeg. cream 1 cup butter and 3/4 cup sugar. blend in 1 egg and 2 tsp vanilla. gradually add the ingredients and mix well. shape dough into long rolls about 1/2 '' diameter. cut into 3'' lengths and place on un-greased baking sheet. bake until light brown 12-15 minutes at 350 degrees. cool and frost with powdered sugar frosting. mark frosting with fork to resemble bark. sprinkle with nutmeg.

DIY {brown sugar body scrub}

I've always been the friend who makes most gifts, 1. because I think they're more personal and special 2. I like crafting and figuring out new ideas and 3. most of the time they are less expensive and way cuter than anything you could buy at the store. Now don't get me wrong I'm no cheapskate, I simply love making homemade gifts. It's my M.O. if you will. This year, my theme was beauty and I made homemade body scrub. Super easy and very practical. I've already used mine twice. I combined a few recipes I found online by added spices and extracts and I've very happy with the results. I hope you get a chance to try it for yourself.

vanilla - cinnamon brown sugar scrub:

1/2 cup of brown sugar
3-4 tablespoons of olive oil
a few dashes of cinnamon ( whatever you like )
and a few drops of vanilla ( I'm sure essentials oils work best, but I only had extract on hand )

mix all ingredients together. if you find that you added too much oil, add more sugar. The first time I made scrub I added too much oil, so add sparingly.

I also decided to decorate the jars that I put my new scrub in with cute paper I had on hand. A little modge podge goes a long way.

Yesterday you could've called me master cookie maker. Like I've said before, every year I dedicate one day to making all of my grandma's traditional Christmas cookies and let me tell you my house smelt amazing. One of my favorites that I make are spritz cookies. Half of the reason they are so fun is because I dye them red and green before really decorating them, so they already have some cookie character.

Grandma's Sprtiz Recipe

Mix 1 cup soft butter, 2 1/3 cup sugar, 3 egg yolks, 1 tsp vanilla. Work with hands. Add gradually 2 1/2 cup sifted four. Chill dough and run through a cookie press onto ungreased cookie sheet. Decorate with candies and sprinkles.

Bake until set but not brown. Temp 400 for 7- 10 minutes.

* If you want colored dough, before chilling dough, half the dough and drop a few drops of food coloring in each pile and mix until desired color.

DIY {holiday wreath}

Since last holiday season I've wanted to make a holiday wreath and this year I finally go to it. I had the hardest time trying to decide what I wanted to decorate my wreath with last season but this year I took my own spin on this guy and am really pleased with the result.

I used mostly material I had on hand, burlap and glitter snowflakes and went to work. I cut the burlap into about 2" strips and wrapped the wreath all around pinning and the end. Then I positioned my glitter snowflakes, pinned those in place, hung my ribbon and viola! It really was that easy.

Russian Tea Cakes

One of my most favorite traditions is baking my Grandma's cookies for the holidays. It was something that I looked forward to eating every year as a kid and once I got old enough, she taught me how to make them and I have been making them ever since. My favorite cookie by far out of the batch, is what we call Russian Tea Cakes or I've heard them be called Mexican wedding cookies too. I think I might have shared these in the past but they are that good!

Russian Tea Cakes

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Cream 1 cup butter, 1/2 cup powdered sugar and 1 tsp vanilla. Blend well (working with your hands) ad 2 1/4 cup sifted flour, 1 tsp salt and 3/4 cup chopped walnuts. Chill. Form into balls. Bake 14-17 minutes. Cool, then roll in powdered sugar.

We got our christmas tree last night and it is one of my most favorite smells in the whole world and I would love to be surrounded by just that, endless rows of aromatic trees. The holiday season definitely holds a special place in my heart because of traditions that I love and look forward to more than anything. One of those traditions is baking my Grandma's christmas cookies every year for Christmas time. Her cookies just taste like Christmas to me and I'm beyond anxious to make them. Next week I will start sharing a few of her recipes that you might be able to incorporate in your holiday tradition. In the mean time, here is my latest holiday cookie that is almost as good as Grandma's. These little dark chocolate stars are quite tasty and next time you head into your local Trader Joe's, you'd be silly to not pick up a box, or two!

Good morning Monday! I'm so glad to see you because this week my goal is to decorate for the holidays and you can't decorate without twinkling lights (well at least in my opinion!) Get ready for some good news coming your way.... I am beyond excited to announce that Sweet Petite now has an etsy shop and is open for business TODAY! I know I have mentioned before that it was going to happen and I'm so excited I finally buckled down and got in some designing and crafting to get some pretty goodies ready just in time for the holidays. Right now the shop has a few holidays items in stock and as time goes on, I plan on adding lots of new and fresh things to it. I have big dreams for this little shop, so I would be forever grateful to have your support in this venture of mine. My goal is to add chic note cards, fabulous thank you cards, more tags and notebooks, custom invitations (for weddings and parties) and posters. Oh my! Ultimately, I would love to be able to work with clients to create custom chic paper goods.

three ingredient cookie

Last night, the chilly temperature outside made me ready to get warm and bake up some treats. I had a bit of a different sweet cookie idea in mind (peppermint meringues) until I was gathering my ingredients and my man peeked his head in the kitchen and said COOKIES, that sounds good! (he's not the sweet type, ironic I know) So I compromised because it's rare that that he craves sweets and experimented with a 3 ingredient peanut butter cookie. Yes, only 3 ingredients, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup peanut butter, and 1 egg. Definitely the easiest and tastiest peanut butter cookie ever. I would recommend these for the outside cookie of a make your own ice cream sandwich.

This whole weekend I found myself wishing that we saw more seasonal changes here in California and especially after talking to a dear friend yesterday who calls New York home, I couldn't stop thinking about visiting there. This Monday morning, it would be absolutely lovely to be talking a walk around Central Park or down the East River watching the leaves change and talking in the crisp fresh air. Happy friday folks! I've had a bit of a new adventure lately and wanted to share where I spend most days and how I just love it. Nearly all mornings I walk into this sugar smelling, sweet filled shop lined with cute and yummy treats. Owls have always had a soft spot in my heart because of their pretty eyes. Over the years as their cuteness (and popularity) grew, more and more ideas of owl propaganda had flooded my head until I came across this genius cookie idea. I wanted to test out the mixture of marshmallows, graham crackers, chocolate chips and candy corn before the holidays because I think these could make cute little gifts for coworkers or friends. Isn't it just a hoot?

To make the owl:

Break graham cracker in half. Cut the marshmallow in half and microwave on graham cracker (10 seconds) to loosen a bit, after out of the microwave, attach chocolate chip for the eye and candy corn for the nose and let sit (the marshmallow acts as glue!). Woot, woot now you have an edible owl!

Zumba is basically a latin, line dance style class and is beyond fun to let loose in. I spent many years as a young girl in tights, tutu's and tap shoes for the love of dance and performing and I'm so glad that I've got to rekindle my love for dance. I would love to be spending this Monday morning in a true ballet or tap studio dancing my heart out just like I remember I used to. Here's to a week filled with joyful movement and poised behavior!

Now that the cold weather has finally showed his face, I've had to dig out my beanies and mittens to keep warm in the early mornings and late evenings. However I can only imagine that my friend who lives in the big apple has a harsher battle with the cold than I do. I might have to admit that I love all things polka dot. The little dots bring so much to the table for me. Tiny islands of color on endless types of materials. There is something so appealing about eating caramel apples as the seasons change. With the weather in flux and certain fruits not in season, apples are regularly available and especially tasty during this time of year. When I see rather large size apples, the first thing that comes to mind is making caramel apples which I'm sure can be messy. Surprisingly, I have never really made them on my own, ergo trying a different version didn't turn out the way I planned (I used store bought caramels and melted them down, couldn't cut the apples after the caramel hardened). Although I think these inside out caramel apples are the best idea because there is never enough caramel on those apples, let's be honest.

Last night marked our annual pumpkin carving and I got to thinking what would be an interesting substitute for your normal roasted pumpkin seeds. The best answer I came across is a brittle/praline type treat. I opted to try it out first with peanuts, because it was my first time making a candy like treat. I followed this recipe and believe it or not, it was super easy. Now that my pumpkin seeds have sat overnight, it's time to roast them and add them to this crunchy treat.

You know it's fall when I start baking anything with pumpkin and I couldn't be happier. On one of my usual trips to the market during the week, I was able to sample a delicious take on the fall staple, pumpkin butter. I tried it with an open mind and found it delightful, not too heavy and the perfect spread for a little spice of pumpkin. I knew I wanted to accompany it with a bread of some sort, 1 because the bottle says if mixed with cream cheese, you won't eat anything else (OK it doesn't say exactly that, but as soon as I thought of the combo, I knew it's be to die for!) and 2 because who doesn't like pumpkin bread or even better, bread's little cousin, muffins.

I can assure you that this combination of pumpkin on pumpkin is killer. Although either by themselves are equally as tasty. So get out your pumpkin and start baking!

DIY {kitchen art}

Recently I was inspired by two pieces of art and instantly knew I wanted to recreate my own version. I finally got the chance to do so this week and I couldn't be happier with this tongue in check piece. Some people might consider me a wino and I have no problem with that especially when I can fly my flag with a fun painting like this. As it might not be realistic to drink more wine than water, this glittery canvas turned out just how I wanted, shiny and fantastic. My kitchen walls will no longer be bare and boring thanks to my new painting full of personality.

I simply painted the entire canvas a glittery gold ( 2 coats of paint ) Then drew the wine bottle shape and set my type stickers out how I wanted them. Next I painted over the letters with black, a few coats preferably and let completely dry. Peeled off the stickers, touched up a bit and done!

During my years studying design, I developed quite a soft spot for this little ampersand. Mostly because I had to do an extensive project drawing the transformation from the letters 'et' which mean 'and' in Latin to the shape that the ampersand is now. I made the drawings into a flip book and it was pretty interesting to see how the letters turn into the symbol. To this day I still love seeing the ligature because their shape is so beautiful. Don't you agree?

wonka-like chocolate cups

Over the weekend I found myself glued to the TV once I found a pastry chef challenge show where they had to recreate their version of Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. You know the uber famous scene where all the kids come in and everything is edible! From the huge gummi bears to the chocolate waterfall and the tulip cups. That scene (and movie, really) is basically every kids dream and I had to see what the teams had created. One of my favorite ideas that I saw one team make were chocolate cups. They used small balloons dipped in chocolate and chilled to make the cup. GENIUS! Add ice cream or whatever you choose and you have an entirely edible sweet treat.

These vintage inspired kitchen papers caught my eye the other day when I was in one of my favorite little shops. I couldn't help but fall in love with the concept and the design and honestly, life is to short to not have beautiful things. Boy is Cake right, they have everything from cheese papers to placemats, to a cutlery table wrap (my favorite) and menus, all with beautiful kitchen-esque designs on them. I would gladly eat on paper everyday as long as they are these pretty beauties.

DIY {business card case}

Business is on the up and up over here lately so one thing I've needed to fix is the constant bending and messing up of my nice business cards in my purse. Clearly, I was on the lookout for a nice and simple business card case that wasn't too over the top, something to keep my cards clean yet a little stylish. When looking for ideas, I found this one that I loved, only problem being I couldn't get my hands on any leather. Then I found this gem and got a whole new idea. This is what I'll be carrying my little business cards around in now.

materials needed:

fabric of choice
button
iron
sewing machine

Measure the size of whatever it is you're making a case for. Mine for example was for business cards.
Take the height of the business cards, add 1/2'' and multiply by two to get the height of your rectangle. As for the width, use the length of your card plus 1/2''.

Then for the envelope shape, add a triangle to the top of your rectangle about the height of your card. Allow yourself 1/2'' for seams all around. After you've figured out your numbers, draw your shape twice so you have two pieces of fabric.

Cut the shapes out and sew together, right sides in. Make sure you leave room at the bottom for you to be able to turn it right side out. Flip and press.

Fold like an envelope, press again and sew the side edges. I wanted to add a bit more color to my new little business card case so I added a colorful button I had on hand. That's it!

mr oreo & mrs brownie

My latest sweet creation married two of my favorites, brownies and oreos. I'm not quite sure why I've never tried mixing these two before but thank goodness for left over oreos. I decided to whip up this treat over the weekend because 1. sweets always make a good present for friends and 2. it was a gloomy day and baking almost always makes me feel better.

I simply followed a normal brownie recipe and then after researching a few oreo brownie recipes, I decided to toss my crushed oreos in a tablespoon or two of flour (to prevent them from sinking to the bottom) and bake. I waited for them to cool then cut in small squares. Easy as that! For a nice package, I put the brownies in parchment and plastic wrapped with baker's twine, a tag made from a TJ's bag with "eat up" stamped on it.

DIY {gold & beaded bracelet}

Arm parties are all the rage in the fashion world and what better way to add to your collection then making a few gems yourself. I found this beauty online and wanted to try to make one myself. Here's how I made them.

Here are the materials you need:
4" gold chain, cut in half
2 bead tips
2 jump rings
a lobster claw
seed beads in choice of color
heavy duty string

tools: scissors & needle nose pliers

1. attach lobster claw to one half of the chain with a jump ring, set aside
2. attach bead tip to string by tying a knot and crimping the bead tip
3. string about 20 beads onto the string (or how ever many you'd like, I measure mine to be the width of my wrist)
4. attach the beaded string to the first half of chain with lobster claw, then attach the other bead tip to the end by tying another knot
5. attach the other half of chain to rest of the bracelet with the last jump ring at the end
6. make another one because layering is cute too!

One of my favorite memories as a kid was going out to Tony Roma's ( are they even still around? ) for family dinner and getting the best dessert a kid could ever have, a dirt cup. Yes, it looks like dirt with creepy crawly worms, but everyone knows it's good old chocolate pudding, crushed oreos and gummi worms, basically all of my favorite things! It must be the transition between seasons and seeing all of the halloween stuff start to fill the shelves of every store that made me want to make this childhood treat. And I'm so glad I did. A dirt cup is a nice light dessert and makes for a good creepy graveyard scene dessert as well.

DIY {refinished dinning table & chairs}

Ever since we moved into our little place, we've been sans dinning table due to limited space. We immediately were on the hunt for the perfect size table to fit our tiny open space that we had deemed as the spot our 'dinning table' would go one day. In a matter of time, we got a call from our family that they had found the perfect sized table on the side of the road and snagged it up for us. Ergo my big dinning table refinishing project begun. I enlisted the help of my dad (the best handy man I know) and after a few months of work, a few hours a day, we finished this beaut. Taadaa! What do you think?

It was a long process mostly because we decided to change the color of the table all together. We had to strip and sand the pine-ish type wood that the table was crafted from and make sure it was ready for the enormous amount of black stain that we were about to cover it in. (stripping was the worst part!) After a few coats of stain were applied, it was time to reupholster the seat cushions. I scoured a local furniture warehouse for a durable fabric that was simple and I found this black and white tweed that I thought fit nicely. This was probably the longest and most extensive project that I've done but I am more than happy with the results and I'm glad I got the chance to work with my dad on the makeover!

I was roaming around the mall yesterday and discovered a familiar brand I like had just opened a new shop in my area and man I was in love walking around their bohemian style store. There are so many elements that scream DIY that I was drawn to from embroidered canvas sacks, to painted and string wrapped branches, to sequin blankets and lots of flowers and tassels. DIY {mason jar decor & burlap table runner}

It might not be a surprise to you that anything you put in a mason jar just looks homespun and so inviting. With that being said, I jumped at the chance to have a little fun with some good old mason jars for atop my newly refinished dinning table. yay. {I can't wait to share that makeover story with you next week} In the meantime, here is how I adorned the top of it; twine wrapped mason jars filled with vanilla candles, a doily, a lovely pink cactus and a simply made burlap table runner, which I washed, ironed, and added a little flare with some peach embroidery thread along the edges at an angle. Honestly, planting the cactus probably took longer than making the table runner, it's that easy.

Over the holiday weekend, some friends and I decided to start the day off with a morning on the water. We rented ourselves some kayaks and headed out to the bay. To my surprise, it was the time of year when the moon jellies were out and I was beyond excited to get to see them up close. We reached their little private cove after about 25 minutes and it was like a sky filling up with floating lanterns. They all started to come to the surface as our kayak was motionless. We each even stuck our hand in and got to feel them and surprisingly they were much firmer then we expected. I remembered a few weeks back seeing a program about a different kind of jelly, the thimble jelly, which really look like floating lanterns. After seeing how amazing these creatures are I am definitely inspired by their glowing interiors and sheer exteriors.

As an art major in school most of our subject matters were very precise and detailed but there were a few projects that were left to interpret in our own ways and those were always my favorite. Reminders were one of those topics. What do you need to be reminded of? For me the number one thing is patience and the only time I feel an abundance of patience is when I'm doing something I love. Here are three reminders that kept me in the right spirits this week just in time for the holiday weekend.
