wildflower love shower

This past weekend I had the pleasure of baking treats and designing a simple yet sweet couple shower. It was exciting to see everything go from ideas to execution so smoothly. Not to mention I fully enjoyed putting everything together from, making all the paper goods (cupcake toppers, banner and sweet treats sign), to picking out and arranging the pretty flowers (daisies, spider mums, hydrangeas, and eucalyptus), to baking my famous peanut butter cupcakes.

I love the wildflower spin these florals took. By simply putting the flowers into mason jars I wrapped with twine and string, it gave the tables a super homespun and sweet feel.

A simple bunting banner that hung above all these yummy sweets.

cupcake topper flags with the beatles uber famous 'love is all you need, all you need is love'.

I am a huge fan of peanut butter in cup cakes. I tried it once on a whim and now think that everyone should have one, because you'd be silly not to. Reason 1: peanut butter is a flavor that most everyone loves from their childhood and almost always brings back good memories. Reason 2: without a doubt peanut butter and cake, make great friends! Then top with homemade chocolate frosting and YUM!

the paper goods are here

Remember the slight mention of a sweet petite paper goods line? Well... *drum roll please* ....here it is friends. My initial batch consists of fun "fill in" party and/or shower invitations and placecard cupcake toppers that are just too cute to pass up. I am beyond excited to have my fresh paper goods sitting pretty in the best shop in the OC, the wedding pantry. Take a peek for yourself... (I apologize for the poor quality photos)

{invitations that come in five designs or themes if you will. it's a must to check them out in person, they are just lovely}

{the paper goods hot off the press. I couldn't help myself from snapping some photos}

{the cute cupcake toppers that serve as a placecard also. I don't know about you, but if I found my way to my seat and saw this, I would definitely have a kid in a candy store-sized grin on my face}

{there are also some love inspired posters available at the shop as well.. from love quotes to customizable first dance song lyric posters. pictures to come}

With that being said, a sweet petite paper goods etsy shop is in the works causing it to be a mad paper making frenzy over here (in a good way of course) So start planning your parties friends and before you know it, I will have lots of fun items for you to incorporate in your little shindigs and everyday life.

friendsgiving: my reason to give thanks

This past weekend was full of all my reasons why I'm thankful: family, friends, good food, and a place to call home. As we all know when we get older, the people in our lives often disperse and don't get together as often as we'd like to, especially during the holidays. So this year I decided to give us a reason to party. Friendsgiving is Thanksgiving without all the hassle of a turkey. It's dinner with the people you care about (basically your second family) and time to unwind from the holiday chaos. I'm excited to share some photos of a possible tradition in the making...

Can't forget the sweets. Pumpkin cupcakes and banana cream pudding pies.

and of course the mustache cupcakes. a perfect ending to a fabulous night.
