{inspiration} seeing spots
One of my favorite patterns is definitely spotted, dotted, polkas whatever you like to call them. They honestly get me every time and I love it. I thought I'd share some spotted looks I've been loving lately. Enjoy.

fool's gold
You might not know this about me BUT, I am a bit addicted to gold lately. I just can't get enough. Even sequins are starting to catch my fancy, when they used to quite literally scare me. I wonder what else I could be inspired by that I used to see in a total different light. The options are endless, embrace the gold and get inspired friends!

shades of green jeans
Lately I can't help but ignore the fact that all I want to wear is green pants. I don't know what's gotten into me, but it's hard to fight the urge to have a bright colored bottom half. I recently read the best comparison to colored jeans from one of my favorite ladies of fashion, "Colored pants are like girl scout cookies. They are everywhere and I can't stop buying them!" Needless to say, I have a similar feeling so here are a few of my favorite brand of jeans in shades of green. (If you have short legs like me, these jeans are the best, no hem needed!)

boom boom pow
I've always had the largest crush on the girls over at ban.do. They definitely know how to bring it when it comes to hair candy and their new holiday collection is nothing less than perfection. Large bows, glitter hearts, sequin headbands and pom poms. What else could a girl want to spruce up during the holidays, ban.do that is!

fall elbow flare
Now that it's fall and more sweaters are starting to make their first appearances of the year, I'm really digging on elbow patches. I've seen a few of them out and about showing their pretty selves and they always seem to put a smile on my face. Yes elbow patches make me smile, crazy I know.

puttin on the ritz
Is it true that all that glitters is gold? I think so! One of my favorite things at the moment and well for quite awhile is gold accessories. Recently I have been inspired by so many gold things that I can't get enough! (I even have a great gold DIY comin' at ya tomorrow!) So I wanted to share a few more glittery treasures to brighten up your Wednesday!

a pretty fall combo
With the first day of fall creeping up on us (the end of the week, if you didn't know) I thought it only fitting to put together a round up of my newest favorite fall combo, olive and lace. I saw this photo and about died, I loved it so much. So here are some of my favorite things in this pretty fall combo.

free people's enchanted forest
I was roaming around the mall yesterday and discovered a familiar brand I like had just opened a new shop in my area and man I was in love walking around their bohemian style store. There are so many elements that scream DIY that I was drawn to from embroidered canvas sacks, to painted and string wrapped branches, to sequin blankets and lots of flowers and tassels. Let's hope they show us how to make some of them in their segment wednesDIY on their blog. Otherwise enjoy these pretty images of an enchanted forest free people style.

pink cat lady
There are so many things about this photo that caught my eye. The leopard shoes, the yellow nails and that pink dress. All killer pieces and all things I love. Not to mention that hex bolt braided anklet and the gold accessories. Are you sure that's not me modeling?

the port
The city of Long Beach has long since had a reputation for being a busy working class city, predominantly due to the bustling shipyard that makes it so recognizable. With that said, Long Beach's port is one of the busiest and I was beyond thrilled to see a shop pop up in my neighborhood baring that exact name. Port is a store founded by three thirty-something talented and creative driven men who have made some big impressions in the action sports industry, namely skateboarding and decided to put their experience to the test and so far, it's a hit. Most of their merchandise is for men, but they do carry a small women's line as well and my favorite item, their own private label shirts.
Not only do they have a solid brand but they know how to keep it cohesive; From their window display backdrops which are photos of old containers to wooden pallet displays and industrial pipe shelves, and vintage wooden oars to add character. It might even be true to say that on occasion they give brews as you shop, but you didn't hear that from me. My recommendation to you is, if you're in the area, stop by. Port is a nice shop with even nicer people.

coral crush
As I've mentioned before my new affinity for the poppy/coral color has gotten a bit fierce. I can't help but be completely drawn to this eye popping color in every scope of the marketplace. Perhaps because any time I wear it or see it I say to myself HOT DAMN! And realistically who wouldn't want that.

red and turquoise
So the cat's out of the bag. I have been a bit obsessed with this refreshing color combo lately and it's completely true: red and turquoise are better together, kind of like peanut butter and jelly. Any chance I get I paint my nails red and wear my favorite turquoise ring, I think that's where this infatuation came from. But be honest, can you resist this energizing duo?

crush on spring
I'm one to admit that I am no fashion guru, nor do I claim to have any expertise in that area. Although I do try my fair share at it, sometimes more successful than others and recently, I've discovered that my favorite season for fashion, colors, and accessories is SPRING. The floral prints, sunshine, light fabrics, and subtle tones make me feel all giddy inside. Here are some of the items that helped me discover my love for springtime, other than flowers and sun-filled nights.

On a side note, if you've never heard of 31 bits, the lovely ladies who make the awesome necklace above, please look them up. They are an awesome jewelry company with an even better purpose and mission!
